Default My f4i randomly squirts unknown fluid

This morning i started my 2001 f4i after maybe 30 secs i noticed smoke coming out from underneath fairing so i pulled bike back and notice squirts not a huge puddle just a squirt the size of a silver dollar underneath where header are. So i look under bike and notice some liquid had landed on headers which the header was obviously cooking causing the smoke. I let it run rev engine even throttled to about 4000God rpm and kept it steady....no more leakeage of anything....smoke stopped 1mintrying after it started i guess header burnt out what ever fell on it. I smelled the fluid which the bike squirted on ground...smelled like gas but not as strong as gas...didnt have the color of coolant or the thickness of oil wasnt black more of a golden transparent color. I have no idea what it is. I drove to work and back still no reoccurance...anyone have any idea or experience with this? What can i do to pinpoint problem?? Thanks for the future help

Has the bike been sitting and the leak at a junction of the exhaust pipe?

I'm thinking it's just condensation.

Could be the fuel regulator valve..

I had one of those gone bad and just leaked fuel everywhere, the fluid did not smell like full-on gas, but had gassy smell.

The regulator resides right next to the fuel rail:

Pull the fairings and actually watch the engine while it warms up next time.

I might have to check that out mu first thought was gas but the smell just wasnt strong enough to be gas but is there a way to test the fuel injection regulator

Pull the small vaccum line that goes to the top of it and see if there is fuel on the inside of that line
