Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot, but I have an 09 cbr600 and I was thinking about lowering it, but I see some posts in this thread thinking it's a bad idea. I can ride it just fine stock, I'm a l ittle past the ***** of my feet and usually only put one foot down anyways unless i'm backing it up. Is it really gonna affect handling that much just dropping the rear 2 inches?

Yes it will. Because you'll need to lower the front as well to match, and that will change the dynamics of the bike all-around. Unless you have a good reason to lower it, like you can't reach or you're drag racing or something, then I would leave it alone.
