Default Missing seat clip?
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if I'm just dumb. But here's a video to explain my problem:

You are missing a bracket that fit on the 2 bolts on the back of the gas tank

Curious why you're fabbing something custom when it'll cost less than $15 to replace all of those parts
