I have side-emitting led ribbons. Its raining out so I can't look, but would it be possible to put the less between the headlight and the fairing? I thought I saw someone had done this before.

Any idea?

Do you mean outside the headlight?
Most audi type headlights go inside the headlight housing, which means taking it off and baking it then removing the lens.
If I understand correctly, I don't think there is going to be much room to put the strip between the bottom of the headlight and the fairing.

I didn't want to open my fairings so I put them in the intakes.

Yes, under the headlight (outside of it to avoid having to break it open) and placing it between the fairing and headlight.

I remember seeing someone doing it on either an RR or an R6...the ribbons I bought are spec thin so i am thinking they may fit. I would like to avoid having to put them in the headlight, after some consideration, incase the led ever goes out.

I personally don't think it would look as clean if you put it under your headlight as to inside it, also I dont think there is enough room as the headlight and the front fairing as they are pretty flush to one another.
Mine are the side emitting ones as well.

Jeff, maybe you posted this already, but what brand are your led's?

I am trying to find some side-emitting less that have enough power to serve as drl's. Most of the side emitting ones do not have enough power to be noticeable in the daytime.

Mine are the Alpena's: Alpena

The white is noticeable during the day as I have them as DRL/turn signals in the intakes.

any pics of them in the daylight?
I purchased some off oznium but they aren't very noticeable in the daylight.

From what I have read the past couple days most side-emitting leds are not as bright as conventional.
Anyone else know of an equally bright side-emitting led compared to a conventional led strip?

yes, I was adjusting my chain slack. Just replaced the rear tire so I figured it was a good time to clean & lube the chain too. I can do a lot more colors. But again, the mosquitos
