Just bought a K&N filter for my F4i which already has a yoshi slip-on and PC3. Just wondering if I will notice a diff? Anyone have experience with a k&n on their bike? Will I need to change settings on my PC3? thanks

 

yeah you should change the settings on your pc3 since most of them ship with stock configuration, but the beauty about it is you can download one made for your exact config. I know there is a benefit to having a custom map made because not all engines perform at the same level, but downloading the one from their website will get you close enough to home until you can afford the dyno/mapping from a performance shop.

 

Well I already have a correct map for my bike with just the slip-on. Do I have to make any changes from there?

 

you should find another map with the same slip on running a K&N...but you don't really have to.
i have a f/s with custom map...i run a K&N with it no problems...but i should get it tuned for a K&N...but IMO...K&N bites...other than the reuseability.

 

What do you recomend other than K&N
