Default ive searched with no luck....

please dont think this is dumb, i have a reason to ask. does the split seat subframe sit higher than the single seat? especially in the passenger section? i know the seat is prolly higher but i mean the subframe itself. are the passenger pegs the same length?

basically, ive got the 600rr swingarm on my bike, i love the way it looks, i also have a single seat, and i love that too and would rather not get rid of it. the bike is my wife's and i's toy and we like riding 2 up on the single moreso and a split. BUT my left pass peg is hitting the swingarm. not hard, but enough to cause that i dont like it. does anyone have a single seat with the rr swingarm on? and has anyone run into this problem?

id rather not have to change over to the split seat, but it seems like that might be the only fix

heres a pic of what it looks like

First things first...Nice Bike!!! Love the paint. As for your peg problem, I don't know if the subframe sits higher or not but a cheap and easy fix would be to buy some spacers and slightly longer bolts. That would but the peg out maybe 6-8mm which should now miss the swingarm, but your wife won't notice any difference in foot placement.

1) I think the split seat's subframe isn't any higher, but I think the passenger pegs are placed higher up on the subframe. Just a guess.

2) Learn about adjusting your suspension - see if you can stiffen it or something to help with the bike sagging when your wife is on the back. You can also look into getting a completely different spring with a harder compression which will help more than just dialing the suspension in there now. I assume you went with the 1000RR rear shock? That's the norm when doing the 600RR swing arm.

Very nice bike also.

yeah its got the 1000rr shock on there, my old shock must have been blown or something lol this one is stiff! it feels good tho. i actually have it adjusted as stiff as it will get all the way around. i know thats not 100% correct for my help but it did help. i need to learn how to do it correctly, its on my to-do list

this may sound crazy but i think the pegs are shorter on the split seat model.

thanks for the compliments!

i think im gonna try to widen it out a bit, and then see what happens good idea ID

Is there any way to space them away from the sub frame? The pegs are under the fairing IIRC, not sure how much room you have to spare.

to be honest, i dont think there is, they go in between s brackets. i could put them on the outside of one but the couldnt hold any weight, those brackets are week. i can get a subcage and that is wide enough, so i might try that. i just wish it would work without! lol i guess for future reference if anyone does the rr swingarm swap on the single seat your pegs will hit. if i could find the parts cheap enough id do a split seat, lol but those parts get expensive fast! its crazy

I have a high mount exhaust and the passenger peg on that side of the bike is spaced out ~3 inches and is still strong. I would keep trying for spacers (and longer bolts to go with of course).

ill try and get another pic of how it mounts. the way the single seat pegs mount it between 2 brackest instead of on the side of the sunfram like on the split seat models. id have to cut into my plastic and drill new holes in my subframe if i decide to space it out more. but if that works, it works
