Default i searched but no

put the torches and lighters down and don't burn me like a witch. i searched but i can't find a definitive answer. i'd like regear my bike -1,+2 (cheap mod). can i use the stock chain with this sprocket combo and still be able to set the correct chain slack. my bikehas 1400 miles so the chain has not stretched much at all. its still in the new position according to the slack adjusters. thanks

I'd say change the chain and go with the 520 conversion, now if your on a limited budget or just like having the bigger chain the answer to your question is yes, just make sure to order another master link with the sprockets.

Check out www.sprocketspecialist.com, the sprockets are labeled 530 and 520 make sure to order the 530 sprocket, and dont forget the masterlink!!

You'll have a tough time getting that back wheel off without taking the masterlink out if the chain if its still in the new position. But if by chance you can take it off without "breaking" the chain, then hell go for it!!!

I've taken my back wheel off4 times all w/o breaking the chain. And the first time was around 2K miles. Unless the chain is neededfor the sprocket conversion it shouldn't be needed for the wheel removal.
