Default Installing LOR exhaust

So I will be installing a LOR exhaust tomorrow and just had a few questions before I start. I read through the instructions sent by LOR and it only states to use some kind of silicone sealer (Permatex Ultra Black) to the part that slips on to the header. Should I also use some at the end which connects to the canister?

Also, is it common for the stock exhaust to be stuck on the header? Is a new gasket not needed? Or is that the purpose of the Permatex?

Thanks.

Edit.
nvm on the gasket question....found my answer and the permatex should be good enough.
