Once you've had the pipe off an on a few times you can do it in about 5 minutes. Not kidding. Only takes 5 minutes.

For my Yoshimura pipe (and most aftermarket pipes for this bike) theres 1 bolt on the strap that mounts the silencer to the passenger peg. It has a nut on the other side that I think is a different size than the bolt. And a single nut on the pipe clamp under the engine.

I don't know what the stock exhaust looks like but for my pipe I undo the springs that connect the mid pipe to the can, undo the bolt/nut on the mounting strap then loosen the clamps bolt under the engine 5 or 6 turns and it all comes apart.

If its a full system I suggest getting the crush gasket for the header flange at the head, if its a slip on... Well it's just that it literally slips on the end of the header pipe and mounts to your factory locations
10mm wrench for the clamp from header to mid
11mm, 12mm for the strap coming of the rear set

Slide pipe out of header and install new one

If you have to pull the header
Remove side fairings
12mm wrench
10mm gear wrench preferred for header nuts/studs
10mm for header support above oil filter
8mm or 10mm for radiator mount at the top or radiator, you only have to remove one side if I remember correctly the other side slides off,

still have a few questions though. Do i need to get the bike tuned now?
when it idles it kinda limps a little and there is a little lag on the throttle any ideas?
it only started doing this since i installed the new system on my bike

do you have an o2 sensor and did you plug it back in? or whatever sensor goes into the exhaust and gives data to the ecu on how to mix the fuel.
but i think if its missing by default it runs rich. and im not sure if all models have it, just a thought though.

Yes a tune is due,

You changed the flow characteristics of the exhaust even though its not monitored by the computer the air coming in is. Your flowing more air and the same fuel, any change to intake or exhaust will need a tune done its not a must but why spend money on a upgraded exhaust and have a power loss imop

Some of these f4i aren't even worth the price of that ECU...
