Default Installed CCT!

I recently had the APE manual CCT installed on my bike and I can really feel the difference. It only ran me 100 bucks for install which was not bad. Well anyways, for anybody that already has this installed on their bike, i was wondering if you hear a change in sound from the motor. For example, when i got the bike back it seemed as if the exhaust wasnt as loud, but not too noticable of a change. And i kinda hear a whinning sound from the motor, im guessing its the valves. But i kept thinking to myself, how would i know if the dealership didnt install it tight enough, or if it was too loose, and if there was any really way to determine if the CCT needs to be adjusted more depending on how it sounds?

Well im gonna guess you had noisy cam chains before you added the tentioner. They should have quieted down alot and the motor should just run good and strong. What I would do is idle it in N then slowely rev it to about 9000 rmp and just listen for tapping if you hear tapping like valve tap or a tinking noise its too loose. As far as the exhaust getting quiter that may be that the cam is working better now so the top of the motor my be in better sync now and its not running as rough. Now the whining sound I cant help you there.

Well when i had the stock CCT on the bike, it wasnt in bad shape. I could hear the clicking sound from the original CCT which made me change it out. I knew that our bikes had problems with these to begin with, so i changed it just to be more safe. The motor runs alot stronger, and it seems like the motor runs alot cleaner. I recommend this part for everyone that has the stock one still on the bike, i believe that it makes the bike a whole lot more reliable. The whinning sound isnt loud or anything, so im not too worried about it. thanks for the input

Can I ask where you got the CCT from? How much? I just bought my F4i, and I'm gathering links, parts, mods, etc. for future use as needed.

Thanks.

i bought the CCT from CBRzone.com its the APE manual CCT, it ran me about 50 bucks. it depends on where u go to determine on how much its going to be for instal. I paid 100 bucks for install, but i have heard people pay close to 200, so you just have to shop around. You wouldnt happen to know where to find good looking undertails? ive only seen the round taillight undertails, and kinda want something different. Thanks
