Default Installed a BMC Filter and custom PC3 for my bootleg...WOW

What a difference. Special thanks to Axsys. He was nice enough to part out some mods on his bike (he's selling it), and seeing that he has a bootleg pipe just as I do, he had a great' PC3 tune on it. We installed it tonight. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! ALL rpm is much smoother, the throttle is much more responsive, I must have freed up 10hp. I mean I "thought" it ran great before, but man was I missing out! The idles a little rougher but I've been adjusting it..WHat a difference!

Random question...does anyone make aftermarket headers for the F4i? And if so, is it even worth it? Would you even see any gains? Just wondering.

Thanks

Nice! Get some dyno numbers for us.

Arrow makes a full exhaust system but its pricey. Dyno sheets show 8 to 10 HP gain over stock. That's a full system though not just headers. I think akropovic may as well...

any chance that PC is the usb version and you could send me the map file? I just swapped my K&N filter for the BMC race filter. I have a different exhaust but I wouldnt mind tinkering with different maps.

delkevic makes one... not to expensive but i think its mostly for clean looks (something the f4i header lacks)

Thanks guys. Skameigh-I'll check if its the USB version for you

_Z_ ya I always hated the hideous stock manifolds...from the delvic website, it looks like the version I need (2001-2003) is the 600 FS-1 correct? They should bolt up clean and flush just like the OEM's Im assuming? Anyone have these installed on their 01-03? $169.99 is a steal. But then again, theyr prolly coming from China and would cost that again in shipping huh? And DANG...OUT OF STOCK

You can buy the arrow header without the slip on for somewhere in the $400 range. The delkevik one is a stock repo and not a performance upgrade.

It is the Two Bros map for the PC3, works great with the Bootleg pipe.
