anyone ever install a K&N on an f4i? I put mine in the other day and the filter seemed to fit best facing with the tall part up. Is this correct. Please help

well i'll reply even though u don't need it... cause someone might refer to this in the future. i just put it on top of my OE filter, and lined up the notches, this showed me which way it was supposed to go on.

didnt know if ya'll read the post about K&N air filters but they are actually bad for your motorcycle. They did a study on all the different kinds of filters and K&N came second to last. Believe it or not but AC Delco filters mopped the floor in the competition. Just thought ya'll should know.

um yea, http://forums.cbrworld.net/forums/191734/ShowPost.aspx Kinda an interesting article. Even though the test wasnt done on a motorcycle engine it still doesnt change the air thats going thru it. Very surprising to see the leader in air filters to get shut down so bad, be nice to have a air filter that never needs to be replaced, but in the long run it causes more damage than you might think.
