Default idle rpm question, is mine too high?

I just got a 06 F4i with about 10k kms (~6k mi) on it and I've got a question about the idle speed.

I know, according to the service manual, that normal idle speed is supposed to be 1300 +/- 100 rpm.

So when I start my bike it settles in at about 1400rpm which is normal but after some riding I'll be at a traffic light, in first, and it idles at about 1600rpm... is this normal or too high??

Thanks again!

You can always turn down the idle if you feel its too high

idle variations has to do with your engine temp. Usually, the hotter your engines gets, the lower your idle will drop. as others have stated, a warm engine...let's say from 130F to 200F... should be around 1300rpm.

I believe at 225F or so, my idle is like 1100rpm.
