Default high idle

I have a 2001 929rr. I just started having problems with a high idle. When I start the bike it runs ok but after a few minutes the idle should taper down but it remains at about 3000 rpm and wont go down. I think it might be in the radiator or the thermostat but I just cant figure it out. Anyone ever experience this problem?

If it has a choke or a carborator then cleaning the throttle body should solve the problem.

did you change anything from stock before it started idling high(exhaust, air filter, etc.)? Sometimes that messes with the FI, i've seen it effect the idle on an F4i.

you can turn the idle down. the adjustment is on the left side (kickstand side), in the triangle shaped hole in the middle fairing. dont turn it to much or it will pop out and you will have to take the fairing off to put it back together.
