I need your opinions....
I need new rear tires for my 03 f4i. What do you guys recommend? Right now it has metzeler m-1. Should I get the same ones or should I get something else.
what would be good tires for riding on highways, around town, and when going on twisties up in the canyons? So, basically all around tires. Something that is not expensive but worth the investment.
I appreciate all you opinions. Thank you!

researched the hell out of tires when I bought new ones back in June. Went with Michelin Pilot Powers. Put 2500 miles on them. Not even noticing treadwear yet and I have never felt them slip on dry pavement. One time I spun the rear justa little in a driveway after riding through a hose puddle in 1st gear. I doubt I've come close to reaching their limits.
They don'tgrip very wellmaking a sudden change fromasphalt to dirt/weeds at 60mphbut other than that I recommend them highly, the wear has been better than expected.
Once rode on a set ofscrubbed inPirelli full race slicks -don't think they were diablos though? -and those things flung rubber all over the place.

I use Michelin Pilot Road 2CT,done 6k miles on them and looking great, no signs of wear. Wet & dry grip feel great, but I'm not100% confident in the dry like I was on Michelin Pilot Sports I've always used (avg life8k miles). Spun the rear tire twice while riding aggressivethroughcorners with sand patcheson the asphalt.Otherwise they hold up great in the wet and dry.
Maybe its the psyche of trying something different

i have metzeler m3's on my bike. So far i love them, but i haven't tried any of the other tires out yet to tell you which one to go with. I think you'll be fine with which ever tire you choose.
Ive run the pilot road 2's (on my sv1000s).Like them
dunlop qualifiers -8500 miles
stock 207's 7k miles
pirelli suspersports-7k
Running the new bt016's -love them.
I commute 100 daily and hit the mountains on the weekends. As long as the suspension is setup, air pressures kept in check..Any of the major tires out there will give you good grip and long life.
