need some help/opinions
so my budy had a harley sold it bought an 01 f4i i think 18000 miles and then bought another harley and is now trying to sell the f4i he bought last year. i was trying to find him an f4i when he bought the one he bought and he asked me what i thought and i said if you want it buy it he paide 3100 for it.
now that he selling it he said he wants 2500 if i buy it. but the this is pretty beat up and i refused to be seen on a peice of junk. if i got the bike i pretty much strip the bike to the frame and start over and a lot would have to be replace so far im looking at ( exhuast, all fairings, rims, swing arm, chain and sprokets) there is probly more im missing but that stuff is bad. i feel bad making him this offer but i dont feel the bike is more then 1500 but at most 2000 bucks considering i could get one in good running shape for 3800-4200. ill try and get some pictures this week to help.

why make an offer at all? Let him try an sell it. I am all for helping a buddy out, but when it comes to buying and selling toys it is business. Just tell him the truth, you think it is a money pit and you'll pay $1500. If he can get more great, but it ain't you job to give charity to a guy that don't need it.
