how far do i cut my kickstand, when i lower my bike 1 inch???
i have a 2004 600 f4i, i lowered it 1 inch front and rear. now my kick stand makes my bike stand too high. and i'm afraid it will tip over!! i got a new kick stand on e-bay, and i'm going to have someone cut and weld the foot back on. heres my question;
if i lowered my bike 1 inch, do i take one inch from kick stand, or a 1/2 in, or a quarter inch.
please someone who has done this HELP ME!!!! [sm=smiley19.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif]

if the bike has been dropped an inch, the kickstand should be cut an inch to compensate for the drop in height of the bike.

Thanks for your help
I used a lowering kit, in the rear. i bought it at: www.58cycle.com ---its a web site. they are called lowering links. they are at the bottom of the rear shocks.
i also lowered the front at the forks but make sure you mark the angel the handbars are at. it took forever to get the handle bars adjusted. i thought they just moved up or down. Oh no....they spin like 180 degress all around. the handle bars are called clip on style. that's why they move like they do. hope this helps.
also remember these adjustments do affect the handling and feel of the bike. i did mine with only like 40 miles on it. because i didn;t want to get use to it stock, then start messing with suspension, and
steering.
good luck. let me know if you need any more info. i'll try to help!!
