Default Help, Bike wont start with kickstand down

Hey guys

I did some searching but can't seem to find a problem similar to mine.

-wont start with kickstand down in Neutral

-wont start with kickstand up in Neutral

- ONLY starts with kickstand up holding down clutch in Neutral or any gear.

- Once started, will stay on if i put the kickstand down.

I'm thinking it's the kickstand sensor? it'll occasionally start the way it's supposed to with the kickstand down and in .

can anyone confirm or shed some light on this annoyance ?

Thanks alot guys, cheers

"Once started, will stay on if i put the kiskstand down", Are you saying that, with
and/or without the clutch pulled in? Will it run, even if it's in gear and no clutch pull?

If it will do the later, I'm thinking it's your nuetral indicator sensor.
If not then, it's likely the stand switch.

Thanks alot guys,

Sorry i think i made it a bit confusing. let me try again:

I can start it in any gear as long as i have the clutch pulled in and the kick stand up.

after that i can put it into Neutral put the kick stand down and it will continue running.

btw... If i have it in 1st gear, with the clutch depressed while it's on and i put the kick stand down it'll turn off ( naturally )

I've noticed my neutral light will flicker and doesn't always come on eventhough i'm in Nuetral. maybe it is the indicator.

Hey, well ironically enough my neutral switch is bad too. The kick stand down, bike in neutral, it will shut off because it thinks it is not in neutral.
What is the official name of the defective sensor/switch?
