Bike Wont Start
I have a 97 honda cbr 600f3. I let it sit for about 3 weeks, went out and started it and rode it around and had no problems..about 3 weeks later i went out to start it again and ride a little and i couldnt get it to do anything. It cranks over just fine, but it wont fire up...any suggestions???
yeah ive tried all that....i even drained all the gas from the tank and carbs and added new gas cuz i thought there might have been some condensation on the inside of the gas tank...but nothin...i checked the plugs and they look fine.. i have spark from them so i dunno
Mine is doing the same thing. i rode it the day i parked it for winter to the gas station and to work, came home and parked i that night. Then 2 weeks later i come out to fire it up cuz it was cold out. well it wouldn't fire. It would hit a few times but then it flooded out or im guessing. I pulled the plugs and they were all wet with fuel so i cleaned them up, checked spark at the wire then reassembled everything. When i tried the next day it hit a few times but never enough to actually start.
when i bought my bikeran fine 100 mi then boom lol took it apart completly empty the carb i let it sit for about a month totally empty and it was still ****ed up needed a rebuild carb but i guess you can make more horsepower out of them but not worth the trouble
Finally got mine goin tonight too!!!!! The timing chain was really loose and had actually slipped a little and the timing was off.......thanks for the help everybody...now im ready to ride!
