FYI...physics say that after a certain length, it'll do more harm than good. with sliders that long, it now gives the asphalt, etc. more torque/leverage to break the slider, or worse yet, to rip out your engine bolt. just a thought.

Get some black or white door trim from Auto Zone and put in on the ID of the holes in your fairing. It really makes it look much cleaner.

Fair enough. The bolts and the base of the extended slider are is the same as regular length slider. I have both the extended and average slider sets. Whether they will rip out the engine bolts that debatable. Physics wise of course.
The puck on the extended slider is much more rougher than those of vortex. So the puck can be scrapped more and longer.

As for myself, Im counting this frame slider to help me with a drop that is at slow speeds or if it was knocked over by a car. Im not expecting these things to save my bike at 70+mph drop. At that point my bike is screwed no matter what and my only concern is my self.

yeah i thinks sliders aren't gonna be much help at high speeds maybe do more damage than anything. i got these for low speed falls or drops which these will work great.
