Cool. Thanks very much! I'll let you know how the switch works out. Any other advice?

I read on another thread that it's a pain in the **** to get off, and that I should have the bike leaning to the right a bit ... otherwise, I'll get a nice oil bath. :-)

that leads to another question ... you recommend getting a stand to work on your bike? any recommendations?

Thanks!

Lol, I was just about to point out that potential oil bath, but you got that covered. lol
I don't have many tips for the actual removal but hopefully someone that does will chime in on any potential pit falls or such, or
give the forum a quick search for similar topics, I'm almost 100% positive there was a thread on just this subject.

And well if you are like me, and penny pinch these days, you'll want a rather inexpensive rear swing-arm stand for all your everyday motorbike maintenance. Helps tremendously and IMO is a must in your garage.
I have this stand and it works like it should, cheap and effective.

Can't beat $40 bones. lol.

If you have the extra flow go ahead and buy your favorite of brands available out there, I believe the cheapest is the PITBULL stands that go for round 150-200 bones.

No, I DEFINITELY don't have the extra flow. 40 bones is exactly what I'm looking for. lol. Thanks again.

as for removal, it's actually fairly easy, not too bad. I removed all bolts and used a rubber mallet to brake free. Don't forget that it's a magnet in there so you may have a lil tugging to do.
