Also check your FPR. When mine went I had similar hot starting problems.

The idle is at 1400 so I am not going to touch that. This weekend I will throw the battery charger on it, check the charging rate and the FPR. Thanks for the advices guys.

I had the same problem. Changed my FPR and it cleared it up.

I've had the same problem every once in a great while since like 6,000 miles on my f4i. Its happened a few times [always after trying to restart the bike within a minute of turning off] in about 41,000miles of riding. It will always start if I open the throttle and runs perfect after. My gas milage has never changed either so I doubt theres anything that really needs replacing.

Not sure about the CBR's but VFR's (older model anyway) had the valve clearance check schedule at 16,000 miles I think. My VFR would be hard to start (had to give it a little throttle to start it) after riding it hard, then stopping for a few minutes, and restarting it. This may not be your problem but it's just a thought.

Yeah I'm sure it could use a valve adjustment but to be honest I really don't want to do it. I'm thinking abut selling it and buying a newer RR.
