Default Starting troubles...

New to bikes/carbureted vehicles. Not at all new to cars. Bought a 92 CBR 600 F2 before winter and having trouble getting it started this season. It sounds like it tries to fire but never does. Changed spark plugs. It's getting fuel to the best of my knowledge. Suggestions? Ignition coils? Need carb sync? I need your help. Thanks.

What specifically about the carbs? Cleaning? Synchronization? I already half-*** cleaned them and drained the float bowls.

clean the other half of the a$$. a half clean carb is half dirty.

if you want further help diagnosing you problem, you will need to provide more specific information. many things will cause an engine to not start.

do you have:

spark?
fuel flow?
compression?
air flow?
correct timing?
mixture?
battery voltage?

without this information, nobody will be able to properly help you.

That's hilarious, I love it. I think the point that 74demon is making is if you're going to clean the carbs, do it all the way and do it right. The most common parts to get clogged on carburetors is the really tiny holes, and these carbs have plenty of them.

Does it still have the same gas in it that it did when you bought it? If so, put some fresh fuel in it and then try to start it.
