Default HID flickering

I bought the bike (2001 f4I) last july. Almost her birthday and I was in a traffic jam on the freeway this afternoon and my headlights were seen on the back of a prius. My highbeams were on and I noticed the "low beam" side was flickering on and off. So I was tripped out. It started doing today. When I got home I shook the bike side to side, nothn, up and down. Nothn...throttle....nothn. then I pulled the brake lever. It flickered. So I tried the brake again and it does the flickering. All I did was replace the 10k bulbs and reconnect everything. Any idea why this is happening? I don't want my battery to get used to power up the light to come on everytime I'm at a stoplight...

I had the same problem with my 600. I replaced the ballast, unplugged/replugged the connections, tested the battery. All nothing. I didn't have any results with the brake lever though. It would flicker for a little while then shut off completely. Might want to check your fuses? I had some fuses go bad a couple times and that seemed to be the problem. Otherwise it could be the bulb?

It's not a fuse issue - fuses are all or nothing when it comes to power.

HIDs flicker sometimes if there's a voltage drop. They also might flicker if they are nearing the end of their life span. Double check your connections just in case, and keep an eye on it.
