Use the search on how to install frame sliders. There are several methods but the one I will be using, either this weekend or next, is the play doh method. It seems like the easiest and cheapest. Just make sure you take your time installing them, Im sure you dont want any extra holes in the fairing.

Might help if you tell us specifically about the instructions you don't understand. It is a pretty simple/straightforward install.

I dont know where the upper engine mount bolt is, I guess if i could figure that out the rest would be down hill. The instructions say to remove the upper engine mount bolt & nut, remove the sensor cable ( dont know what that is eather) then install the bracked in place of the spacer with washer between bracket and engine.

if you got the no cut frame sliders, I can take pics of mine. It took me a minute to figure out what the hell they are talking about in the diagram. But it is pretty straight forward once u figure it out. Let me know...

the most accurate way, i found was...
take your bike and roll your front or back tire against a wall. i Velcro the brake lever so the brake is on. you do not want the bike to move. get the bike to stand straight, you don't want the bike leaning on its stand, you wont get an exact mark. take your plastic off, i have a 2001 f4, if you are on the side where the stator cover is, look where the top mounting screw for your plastic goes on the right, to the left of that almost directly above the center of the stator cover you will see a hex bolt recessed into the frame, that the bolt you will want to remove. you will need a torque wrench/ratchet to install your slider, t-rex i think is an alan bolt. do not just crank it in there, you need to torque that bolt. take a cheap laser, prop it up on something and get it to shine on the center of that bolt without disturbing the laser or position of the bike. put you fairing back on, take the time and put all the main mounting screws in so you have the correct position of your plastic, where the laser is pointing on your plastic is where you need to mark for your pilot hole. what i did next was make the hole the size of the slider bolt, put the bolt in from the back of your plastic, slide you slider on the bolt backwards so the fat end of the slider is against your fairing and trace it. hit with a dremel, leave your line, then finish off your hole by hand with paper. you could make your pilot hole and use a hole saw. hope this helps, if you want i put mine in last week and have pics with the plastic off , i could post it if you are still unsure of what bolt to remove. good luck
