Frame slider install q's
I have a 2005 f4i.... I bought frame sliders from the honda shop spcific for the f4i. Now I can't see where to install them. my f1 they installed on the front fairing area, i cant see a hole on this one. Where do they go? pics may be helpful.
Looks like you have to drill just like my RR here is a PIC of the F4i with sliders

Your cuttin' more than likely. Here are some pics of mine ('03 F4i). A good technique that I read about to get the hole in the right spot is to back out the original bolt until it just about touches the fairing when you put it back on then use modeling clay and put it on the inside of the fairing. This will leave an impression right where the hole should go. You may notice others and myself have oval shaped holes because we did not do it this way
. Remember measure 2-3 times and cut once

I don't feel comfortable cutting up a new bike...Dangit.. I have full coverage. Man I am dissapointed. Thanks for the pics. If I do decide to do it at least I have a good idea of what they look like.
Yeah I hear you, it was kinda nerve recking when I installed sliders for my 02 f4i (especially if yours is a brand new 05).
I was extremely careful, measured everything twice at different angles, pilot holes and masking tapes.
Anyhoo, I'm happy to have sliders, especially in the long run, if I accidentally lay it down the two holes I put through the frame is better than cracks and scratches.
