i have an 06 600rr and just got the vortex frame sliders. so i went to install them yesterday and the bolt they supplied has a 3/4" head and when i went to put them on the socket wouldnt fit inside the slider puck.... is there another way to do this or what? other than that i have everything done. just need to put the sliders on. thanks

 

The Vortex sliders stack the plastic slider on the aluminum base. Don't connect the puck onto the base until the base is installed and the bolt torqued properly.

 

im not sure if i follow....the instructions that came with the puck bases said not to use the bases that came with the pucks....are there any pics that anyone has during the install process that could help me

 

ummmm....... use a smaller OD socket?

Do you wanna post some pics to show what you've done so far? (and to show exactly what sliders you have) Why would you not use the bases if that's part of the frame slider? Sounds odd. For mine I need an allen key to screw the basesin. Then the puck screws onto the baselike a cap.

 

well i figured it out from another forum, seems i just need a smaller o.d. socket like mentioned earlier.....i guess theres two designs of vortex sliders out and mine doesnt use the bases that came with the pucks, just the bases that come separately
