Default Help with hotbodies flsuh mounts

Hey

I am trying to install flushmounts on my bike right now. The directions on the back of the box say connect the black wire son the signal to the green wire. and the red wire on the signal to the blue wire.

I'm looking at the wires on my bike and I am confused as hell. I am seeing 3 wires. 1 black, 1 red, and 1 white/black striped wire. I have no idea wat is wat.

I am looking at the service manual and it also shows 3 wires, it shows a blue wire, blue/white wire/ and a green wire. I don't know why none of my wires are blue or green

I believe this is from the previous owner...I believe the stalks on my bike now are not oem so therefore the wires are different,

Can anyone help me figure this out??

hotbodies flushies have a power and ground that is it....the OEM stalks have a ground, a running light wire, and a blinker wire....

as shipped, you can only use the hotbodies as EITHER a running light OR a blinker light...

however...if you use a couple diodes, you can modify them to work as both running and blinkers....

Hey fingers

yea I understand that they will not work as running lights shipped. As of right now I just want them to blink for turn signals. I know that there a 3 wires...one for blinker, one for parking light, and one ground. But I do not know which wire is which so therefore I cannot splice the wires together. hotbodies only gave me 4 T-clips for connecting wires so I do not wanna mess up.

I would do trial an error since you got different color wires.

looks like light blue and orange...the ones WITHOUT the white line are the blinker wires....looking at my wiring diagram...

also...don't look at the wires form the stalks...take off your front cowl and look inside at the wires from the wiring harness...odds are if they are aftermarket, you are looking at the aftermarket wires if they don't match up....if you look inside the front cowl, you'll see the right colors...
