Default Flush Mounts (Hotbodies)

Being a noob and everything, I didn't know that the part the front signals connect to the fairings sticks out a bit.

I bought one of those universal flush mounts and it wouldn't fit because of that extra part that sticks out.

I returned it and ordered a set of hotbodies flush mounts. These will fit exactly into the hole I guess and should be no problem. Main purpose of this thread is to get any important tips that I need to do. Any special ways of wiring them? I have LED tail lights and it already causes my blinkers to blink fast. If I install the hotbodies flush mounts, will the speed still be fast? I like it fast.

I would say try not to take off the front fairing being a noob. Keep it on and wrap you arm around from the inside and use your fingers if you can. Becasue putting that front on isnt fun by yourself.

lol... i totally understand what you mean. I had problems with my bike before, and I had to take off the front fairing to get to a wire I needed to check because my friend said that'll be the problem. Well, taking it off is no problem but putting it back on is a PITA. Especially with my HID's, the front end is so tightly packed full of wires, ballasts, etc etc that it's impossible to put back together unless you put everysingle wire in a certain position.

I felt like crying. Never taking the front fairing off again.

Okay, I just installed it... PIECE OF CAKE. You actually have to do some crimping n stuff. Stock signals have 3 wires, but the hotbodies have 2. Basic stuff though. Fits perfectly. Feels good to see it fit exactly into the hole.
