Alright, There is definitely not reverse voltage going through it. There could have been an over surge of voltage when it was put in. because the battery was still connected and it was just plugged in. A spark jumped. Could have caused the fuse to pop and maybe fry the diode. Now its a permanent closed short circuit, and the diode has melted straight into the box. I am not sure how the hell i am supposed to get it out.

 

try melting the plastic so its soft and pulling out the remnants...idk..lol

 

This guyherehas a whole electrical wiring harness for $121. If I were you, I'd replace the whole box. Maybe give a salvage vendor a call, and see if they can pull onefor you at a cheaper price. imo

 

I am thinking about it. But it isnt that bad. Hopefully its still good. I will do some rewiring if necessary. Trying to avoid replacing the whole harness

 

So i got a new diode today... any advice before i stick this thing in and fry this bitch too? could my battery be producing too much voltage it over voltages it?

it was just charged?
