Help with Daily Check list?
I need to some tips on what to check on the bike before each ride, like tire wear, shape of the chain, etc. i just bought my 02 F4I about 3 weeks ago and i did not receive a owners manual. Any help and tips and maybe how to fix the common problems, is greatly appreciated.

RE: Help with Daily Check list?
I recently just got my bike as well, I too do not have a owners manaul, but i'll be buying one soon.
Im pretty sure its something simple and common.
1. Check tire pressure
2. Check for leaks
3. Check under the bike for any fresh stains (oil, or fluids)
4. Check guage cluster for any warning indicators.
5. Check Clutch/Cable make sure its tight.
6. Check Throttle/Cable make sure it doesn't increase, while at idle.
Do a quick scan for loose objects if any, screws. etc.
If i missed anything, please feel free to add.

RE: Help with Daily Check list?
I just check tire pressure, look for any leaks on the ground. Fire the bike, check your lights. Get on, hold the front brake, and rock the bike check for suspension feel and that the brakes hold. Roll it out of the garage and check the rear brake.
Ride conservatively until the tires warm up.
**edit**
I do a detailed inspection when I clean the chain (every 300mi)
and when I change oil (every 3000mi)
If you have a clip-on master link check it EVERY TIME YOU RIDE. Then change it to a rivet on the next time you replace the chain. Your bike and limbs will thank you.
