I have an 01 F4i that had a crack in the gas tank. I took the tank off to fix the crack which I succeeded in doing but now I tried to put the tank back on and it won't start. It will turn over and I can hear the fuel pump but it just won't fire. The bike ran fine before this and never had a problem. Im stuck and could use some advice

 

You probably already did this, but did u check all the hoses were connected?

 

Yes I double checked. I tried spaying some starter fluid into the intake and it tried to start. It was kind of like it was flooded

 

So the bike turns over but won't fire? Is that correct?

 

Yeah thats right but I figured it out. I knew it'd be something dumb. I had unplugged my headlights and had forgot to plug them back in. Once I plugged them back in it fired up like a champ. Thanks for your help tho

 

Lol, I didn't know you unplugged the lights. Good thing it was something simple.

 

I hate those little unattached headlight problems. I've ran into that doing tank removal, Speedo Healer install, etc. Haha.
