Default Headlight Problem

Hey guys,

When I start my bike my headlight doesn't always come on and I will have to play with the starter (hold it down particially...not all the way to engage starter) and the lights turn on. However, when I stop holding it down partially the lights turn off. Additionally, when I am riding after heating up for a bit they will randomly turn on and off. When they are already on for a while and they turn off I just tap the starter button and they are back on.

Anyone know how I can fix this? It is pretty annoying because at night I sometimes have to pullover and mess with it before it starts working again.

Thanks.

Your gonna have to open up the starter switch, and solder to loose connection you have for the headlight. It should be the white/blue wire if im not mistaken

Broken solder joints in the Start Switch are common as are dirty contacts inside the switch. Either way, the only way to find out is to take it apart. It's easy to do (although I haven't done it on an F4i).
