head shake??
hmm. it feels like i'm getting head shake @ 100+ miles per hour. improperly ballenced tires or bad alignment? i've never experienced this before, but then again i've never been on a bike without a steering damper. it kindof feels like speed wobble on a skateboard if you've ever tried to dive bomb a hill and found that out the hard way. i zeroed my suspension and set the preload for my weight. Also, the bike came with brand new shinko stealth 003s.
i always thought it was a common thing to have the front swing a bit at high speeds.
i just push the bars away from me and that seems to help.
if you feel more comfortable with a damper than may be you should try to get one.

i didn't know it was common. i just don't want to have high speed error because i don't know the bikes history and push it past it's limits or something. i'll have to pick up a damper.
ive had my bike over 100 once or twice, and never really noticed much wobble at all. seems like it may be something that is unbalanced? unless its a track bike where you go over 100 frequently, i would maybe try to see if something is unbalanced before buying a stabilizer. if it is a track bike, a stabilizer would probably be a good investment anyways.

There is definetly something wrong with your bike, i've had my bike to 140 or so, with out a damper and it was very stable with no wobbling.
Headshake is totally different, its when the bike starts swinging violently and your handlebars move side to side, kind of like a mild tank slapper.
What you are experiencing might be bent rim, or not balanced wheels, or something else that is not balanced properly.
I would check it out with a mechanic, you dont want any doubts at these speeds.
