What are the conditions for causing the headshake? Shouldn't be under normal riding conditions unless your forks have been tweaked.

Yea, you need to give more details before anyone can answer this question...like Dwhite said...if it's happening under normal conditions then something is bent or unbalanced.

More info please?

Just to help your description chuckle, there's a difference between "head shake" and vibrations, head shake is something you usually get when the front end gets light during hard acceleration or from nuances in the road surface (or both).

Which is it?

This is what i get every now and again, but only under hard HARD acceleration. it doesn't bother me because i know what causes it. otherwise it's stable.

so i own an f4i (yea i realize im in the wrong room). but i got a case of headshake the other day and it scared the **** out of me. how exactly does one go about correcting headshake? do i just simply release the acceleration? or can i continue to accelerate and do something to keep the bars from banging on the tank? let me know thanks y'all

If you chop the throttle your harmless head shake could turn into a full fledged tank slapper...basically you want to maintain your throttle (hold it steady) and relax your grip on the bars...it should even out...just relax and hold her steady!

Yup, i whole-heartedly agree. let the bike settle it's self. If you try to do it, you're going to end up in a tank slapper. if you do, CONTINUE TO LET THE BIKE WORK ITSELF OUT! The bike can take care of itself. any input you try to make will only exacerbate the problem from tank slaper to a bi7ch slapping! lol

seriously. don't try to fix full throttle head shake or tank slappers. just keep on the gas ond let it work the demonic possesion on it's own.
