Hello, I bought some after market bulbs (H&7) for my 04 F4i and they dont fit. This is the bulb that their website says but the prongs are narrower width wise and i cant plug them in cuz their too short, the stcok ones are wider. Anyone else have this problem and/or do you know the right aftermarket size/part number? thanks.
Also the guy at the place I got them from said the bike mite take two different size bulbs but it didnt look that way to me, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

C'mon, splain to the class

 

Man i just tried to change mine and this isnt at all like a car. Whats up with that metal piece in there it fell off now i just cant figure what the **** is going on in there

 

The only metal piece I know of is the piece that keeps tension on the assembly. It has a 'hinge' at the bottom -- when you put the bulb in you swing it up, press in slightly and there's a notched place you hook it on at the top.

 

well first of all no one told me that u just pull the bulb off that black piece and the h7 fits in that. I actually rewired it differently .
well i took the side molding off mine is grey and lets u have more room to work on it. yes u just push that little piece in of the wire and it swings over and u just pull your bulb out. then pull the bulb off that hunky black thing and put your new bulb in and put it back into the socket and then push the wire back on and snap it over the notch. its easier to do than to explain. but u will see the notch and just push the wire around that. it took the bulb place to tell me about the conversion peice (that black piece that the wiring snaps into) after the fact i rewired it and was all pissed. the honda stor in my area (parts dept) didnt even know u could do that which i thought was odd.
anyways i got em in and they are nice. waiting for night fall so i can go check em out
