yeah, enough said.
I'm not even sure how this happened... I didn't notice it until I stopped to stretch after a 3-hour ride... the fairing was cracked from my lay-down last summer, but it wasn't this bad (it wasn't even completely cracked... it was more of an extremely deep scratch)... anyway, I doubt I can repair this, so I guess as soon as I get my stimulus check, I get to buy a new front-upper...
I'm guessing a rock or something got kicked up and nailed the bike in just the wrong spot... or maybe it was a june bug... those things at high speed can do some damage.
Anyway, this is one of the reasons I'm glad I just spray-painted the bike... painting the new plastic to match will cost all of $15.

Hey man i know how you feel i had the same crack on the opposite side . I plastic welded it back together @ the end of the season . For the duration of the season i tin taped and glued it . the tin tape held up great till i removed the cowl to weld it .
just fyi do something before ti breaks one of the tabs on your headlight housing cause those are hard to replace
