Gimme a break... as long as there are motorcycle enthusiasts you will have one dude saying "be safe" and the other saying "hey i love going fast i didnt mean to be unsafe."

I don't think it is condoning it to talk openly and freely about doing something even if it isunsafe or irresponsible, and it's not very nice to criticize or be rude or elitist towards someone who has done irresponsible things on their bike. We all have done it. You can't teach someone anything by punching em in the face....but with some compassion you might be able to win someone over to be smart next time they kick it up on the open highway. It's tempting as hell and we all know it.

absolutely right

Well, if your bike is just like mine (all stock), then chances are you probably wasn't going that fast. Maybe close to it though. I opened mine up as much as I could one day and she topped off at 148 mph.

Ok, he went fast, he got caught, justice got served... he got served. You're not guilty until you get caught, right? This can go on forever.Everyone's got their own opinions. For me, it's all about enjoying the ride.

Oacuna your personal information is visible on the ticket, so I removed it. I do not think it's a good idea for you to post where you live, your bike may not be there one day. If you want to repost it and block your name and address, feel free.

Christmas eve, brisk night, no one on the road. Yeah, I might have grown some ***** and done a couple of high speed runs myself, but as soon as I know the speed, I would have just slowed down again. Holding a speed of 160mph for more than a few seconds (unless on a track) is a little reckless. But I'm not flaming. Everyone on here has pushed their bikes to the limits from those little devils they call "urges". Most of us look back on it and think "damn, that was stupid." But we're all guilty, so flame less. It's still the Holidays.

And I'm sure the F4i can hit 160. Yes, I know that the F4i and RR's are very different, but the 600RR has no problem getting to 160mph BUT there is no way you can accidentally or unknowingly hit that speed. You know you're on the edge right after the 120mph mark.

Good luck with the ticket and/or court. Good luck getting your bike back. And be safe. The last thing any of us want to see is another motorcycle fatality.

the cops will eventually get to you... i got 15 tickets on my bike and didnt care too much... then when i got arrested it changed my ***

i used to do wheelies everywhere but since i got arrested i make sure there is NO ONE else on the road... and yes you went fast just make sure to do it when no one is around... i still do it all the time. Ive maxed it out at 177 but i doubt that was true speed. felt more like barely 160... but it gets to an indicated 145ish in no time without any struggle
