Default fuel problems

I've got a 01 F4i and I'm pretty sure the fuel pump went out on me, but I want to be absolutly sure it is before I spend 400 bucks on a new one. When I turn the key on the right turn signal comes on but it's not blinking the light is just on, I'm not sure what that means, I was hoping someone on here would know what it ment. Then when I turn the kill switch on the fuel pump don't kick on or anything, I've pulled the battery to reset the system and everything and still nothing, I took the tank loose today and took a meter to see if it was getting power and it is but it won't kick on, does anyone know ove anyting else it could be, if so please let me know something.

Check your fuses and tip over sensor (BAS). Check continuity of the kill switch. Thats what I'd do first. You can also take some wire and string a fuse in between it and hook the pump up directly to the battery and see if it fires up. At least that way you can eliminate the possibility of a busted pump. Do that at your own risk though.

hey would the BAS sensor even let the bike crank over or would it just not even let the bike to try to turn over? and how would I bypass it to see if it is the problem?

wont even let the bike engaget the pump, however, turning the key on and off and then on again should reset that bank angle sensor from what i remember.........but to bypass it, just unplug in and jump it, or wire it together..... the BAS is located in the nose of the bike between the headlights, just do a search for a pic or for a tutorial on how to bypass it.......

BAS just prevents the fuel pump from coming on...the bike will still crank...but that's all it'll do.
