My girlfriend let her 87 CBR 600 sit for a year. I cleaned out the gas tank and changed the fuel filter, and she started up fine. However when I put her in gear she labors to get going in 1st and second. Is this a carb problem?

 

Only first and second? Possibly a fuel problem. Have you tried running the RPMs out?

 

Maybe the carbs need a douching out? It sounds like they are loading up.
