If the lines are coming out from the side of the carbs, then its probably a stuck float, or the needle isnt seating all the way and its allowing the carb to overfill and spill out.
Or, your main fule line is not hooked up all the way or rotted out.
If gas starts coming out as soon as you open the petcock, I would assume your main fuel line is to blame.
If it takes a minute or so, then I would think it may be the carb.
The main fuel line is about half an inch OD. the overflow lines to the carbs are only quarter inch OD and may be a clear yellowish color.
but, from the brief description, I would lean towards main fuel line. The fuel line probably goes to a T then goes to either side of the carbs rack. Or, it just simply plugs in on one end of the rack. they have used many different styles, so Im not sure exactly what you have.
