Ok im new to the f4i just got an 01 monday nite rode it to work today and noticed the fuel gauge isnt displayed anymore. does it just come on when fuel gets low or is it suppose to stay on for the whole tank thanks

It isn't a gauge so it doesn't stay on. It's only and indication that you are hitting reserve zone.

I had the same concern when i first got my bike. I thought the reserve indicator was the fuel gauge. But then i saw it going down at an alarming rate and it freaked me out lol.
