Front brake sticking after changing pads
Had a shop change the pads on my bike recently (06 f4i). Since I picked it up I noticed a new noise coming from the front wheel... It sounds like sssssk ssssk, imagine sharpening a knife. Would be the best way to describe it, anyway I checked it out and my front brakes are sticking. When I release the lever it dosnt reset all the way... I called the guy and he said its probably the master cylinder. Anyone here think differently? The fluid is topped off. Also I didn't notice this before the new pads.

Sounds like the mechanic didn't push the pistons back before swapping the pads when he took off the calipers.
When the caliper is remove, the pistons will tend to push out. If not pushed back, the pads will ride the disc. Easiest solution is to take the calipers off, push the piston back in and bleed the brakes. Then try her out.
I suggest doing it yourself. Your mechanic sounds a little shady, suggesting a master cylinder problem.

im going to have to agree that it doesnt make sense to say the master cylinder has anything to do with the fact that your brakes are engaged.
you can easily enough pop them off, remove the pads, disconnect and watch fluid leave the brake lines, use some of that fluid to clean the outside of the pistons if need be. push the pistons in, spray everything down with brake cleaner and make sure there is no fluid anywhere, and install the pads and calipers, and bleed them yourself with just a hose, bucket and 8mm open end wrench.
yeah well, i took my bike that is under warranty that has to be done at a kawasaki certified shop and it comes back with a leaky valve cover.
at that same time i checked my honda's valves, and no leaks after putting everything back together.
and the cbr pumps more oil through, never thought i would be one of those people who say dont go to the dealer but it seems, to them its a job, to you its your life. plus i would like to keep the foot pounds on bolts/nuts under 250...
