I just changed mine (front) and they were a pain in the ****...make sure you take the top off the brake fluid resevoir and get the piston all the way in the caliper...once you get the piston in all the way it gets a little easier...granted, it probably didn't help that it was 100 degrees...

The rear is really easy, the front is a little tougher, but still similar to a car. As said, take the reservoir top off and actually suck out some fluid. If the fluid drips on the paint, it will remove it. DAMHIKT.[]

Another thing to watch for is a sticking piston. Make sure you lube the seals properly so they slide right and also lube the rubber boots that allow the calipers to slide freely side to side. Good luck. I know i had mine all apart in 15 minutes, but it toook nearly two hours to get everything back in place on mine. The sticking point on mine was the speedo box at the fork. The manual shows the line on the speedo box lining up with the fork, but I realized it would never fit like that, so I lined it up just to the rear of the fork tube so that the cable would still screw together. Works fine right now.

Actually, if the only thing you are doing is the pads, it will be really simple. I had a problem because I was getting a new tire and pulled the whole front wheel off. If it was just the pads, it would have been a lot easier as getting the axle and speedo box assembled took me a while. Look at the manuals before you dig in. One thing I didn't realize was that the calipers literally slide off the mounting bracket. Before I realized that I screwed around for a little while because I kept removing the whole bracket. and still couldn't get to the pads.
