Default Front brake problems

I've got an '06 F4i and every once in a while the front brake will be extremely loud and it will like shutter and I can feel it in the lever. It happens both when I'm braking hard and even when I'm going like 10mph coming to a stop sight or stop light all of a sudden it will just do it. Has anyone else ever had this problem or heard of it?

Take your rotors in to a machine shop or somesuch and have them checked if they're warped.
While you're pulling the rotors check the pads for any uneven wear.
It's probably going to be one of those two.

Breaking too hard and then just stopping there, leaves the hot pads on one part of the rotors, rest of the rotor cools quicker, you get warpage. That's the most common way at least, could just be uneven wear, a burned spot, maybe a little oil got on part of the rotor, there's lots of ways it can happen. And no, it's not normal. If you're lucky it'll just be a burned spot or a slight warp and they'll be able to turn it.

Also make sure your front end is torqued correctly. When assembled all the parts fit together in a certain order to ensure alignment. But my vote is on a warped rotor. It's hard to tell considering that the F4i has a "floating" rotor design.
