Default Fork Seals

Around what should a shop charge to replace fork seals? When I have called around, I keep hearing the term "labor intensive". I translate that to "really expensive". I know the actual seals are not expensive at all. Just don't want to get screwed.

your best bet is to find a guy that works in a shop to do it on the side. I heard they can be pricey depending on area and teh shop but dont be surprised if one of the guys says yest to help you.

yea bro,.. it is really really labor intensive.... mad crap to take off and apart. the wackiest thing about it is that the seal and the oil cost 25 bucks all together..

you should find a mechanic that will do it on a side, may be craigslist...

cost would be around 100 per tube.
you can get the seal driver for less than the price of 2 and do the work yourself.

I don't have the shop, tools or experience to try this at home. I've looked into getting the shop manual for the bike but don't have the cash.
