Default Fork rebound screw keeps turning in

Supposed to do my first track day tomorrow, and I just realized that the right fork's rebound screw (top of fork) turns in further and further obviously way more than it should. I rebuilt the forks around 2 years ago and put the settings back to stock then and this wasn't happening. Any recommendations for what I can try before 7am tomorrow? lol

nevermind, fixed it by taking the right fork apart from the top. the threaded rod was disconnected and down in the tube.
