According to the service manual, 2 blinks at ignition is faulty MAP sensor and/or loose connection of the MAP sensor hose.

However, check the length of the blinks- a 1.3 second blink is equal to 10 blinks which would give it a different code. If they're both the same length and a fast blink, then it's just what I typed above from the manual.

check the vacuum hose and make sure she's snug. dielectric grease the pins to help increase electrical conductivity.

had the same problem. i took the tank off and noticed the thin hose was disconnected from the MAP sensor. hooked it up, turned my f4i back on and the light disappeared.

Where is the Map sensor located? I have a 2008 600RR with this FI error. Any help on location would be great!

You'll get better response by heading over to the 600RR section of the forum. An easy mis-click may have put you here in the 600F4i section.

Error is for "MAP sensor circuit", not map-sensor itself. CIRCUIT includes:

- reference 5v power supply wire
- ground wire
- signal wire to ECU
- vacuum hose
- MAP sensor itself

Manual has procedure on testing all of these along with measurement standards. Most of time, it's vacuum-hose that got knocked loose or connector was unplugged when removing/installing petrol tank. Identify actual cause of problem through measuring and testing first.
