Default f4i rear spring Question?

Okay, I have searched. All I am looking for is what number setting the rear spring should be set at from the factory(the adjuster right at the bottom of the coil spring)

personally id set it at what you feel comfortable riding at. take it for a ride and adjust it to your comfort level. heck you may set it back to stock height and it be too soft, or too hard for all you know. just my opinion

Factory is 3. I have mine set at 4 now. The spring rate is for a 160ish lbs person.

Not sure what your needs are (just want it stock) but here is a good video help site and one of the videos is all about setting shock sag with the preload settings. This is not specific to our F4i but still good info.

Factory setting is 3.

Im 210 and run 5 to get my sag correct.

The stock spring is crap for any semi aggressive riding. Unless your a scrawny 5 foot Asian Lol....

But seriously, the stock spring rate is WAY too soft for 95% of the people on an f4i. Best bet is to send the stock shock assembly off to Traxxion Dynamics in Atlanta, Georgia. I sent them mine and for $300 I had a complete rebuild, clean & polish, new valving, new spring, and other small goodies...

Feels 300x better than the stock shock ever did...

According to racetech the stock rear is a 14.2 and the suggested rate for racing with a 160lbs rider is 14.6. Dosen't seem so bad to me.

I guess that depends on the bike...split seat year f4i's (atleast 01 & 02) are 6. My friend with an 04 is three. I forgot that when I made my prior post on this thread
