F4 rear spring on F3?

well F2 and F3 are verified, 100% directly interchangable.
I've been told yes and no on the F4 being interchangable on the F2, therefore, the jury is still out on the F3 as well.
It does appear though from those that say they have doen the F4 on the F2/3 - it raises the rear end almost 2 inches, which will affect your handling a lot - making the bike very quick to turn in, and potentially twitchier in many situations.
That being said - I have a F4 shock and linkage sitting on the shelf to try at some point in the future. none of those that I've read have swapped the shock have swapped the whole linkage, and the F4 dogbone appears to be longer, which would result in less lift, just like a lowering link would do.
I plan on swapping it in down the line just to see the difference, as I would like the tail of my bike roughly 3/4" taller than it sits right now.

so ur sayin that a longer dog bone= a lower ride? as if i were to lower my bike, i would want a longer dogbone? (i dont want to jus wanna get my facts straight) also, if i wanted that much lift, theroretically i could do a straight swap f4 shock in place of my f3 shock and use my stock dogbone?

on our bikes, yes, longer link means the rear will sit lower. I'm not sure if the F4 linkage is even going to bolt up yet.
but if you just swap a F4 shock , and use your F3 linkage - it's been reported you get almost 2" of lift. So, put a 1" lowering link on, and it should lower the rear that much, net gain will be about ~1" over stock.

ok, so ur sayin the f4 shock may or may not bolt direcly up, and if it did and i left all stock linkages and dogbone, i will get 2" lift? i dont mind that at all, i just really want to know if it will go in directly in place of what i got now. also, what are the other benefits of havin an f4 shock installed besides the lift?
